New York EDITION Opening

The New York EDITION opened this month in the Flatiron District, providing exceptional style and service just steps from Madison Square Park.

Ian Schrager Company Design Studio and Rockwell Group converted the former Metropolitan Life tower (completed in 1909 and designed by Napoleon LeBrun & Sons) into 273 guest rooms, a restaurant, two bars, meeting rooms, and a dynamic social hub where guests and visitors can work, relax, socialize, and dine.

If you’re in town, step into the lobby to see the sculptural, grand staircase made of lacquered steel and a cerused White Oak-panels—and then stay for a bite to eat at Clocktower. It overlooks the park and features restored oak floors stained in dark ebony, table tops in mahogany wood with dark bronze tulip bases, French polished custom dining chairs upholstered in radiant velvet, and walls embraced by beautiful restored landmark mahogany wainscoting. Stay overnight and you’ll get a jaw-dropping view of New York City from any one of the guest rooms.
