James Tichenor Co-Chief of the LAB

James Tichenor is the Co-Chief of Rockwell Group’s LAB. His expertise in architecture and electronics allow him to develop the hardware and tools necessary to create the LAB’s innovative, interactive spaces and experiences. Trained as an architect at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, James returned to school in 2002 for a Masters in Design and Computation from the MIT School of Architecture where he studied the intersection of design, electronics and materials, and then continued his research for another Masters from the Interaction Design Institute of Ivrea in Italy.
Joshua Walton Co-Chief of the LAB

Joshua Walton is the Co-Chief of Rockwell Group’s LAB. He works primarily in reactive video, programmatic motion graphics, and interactive architecture. Before coming to Rockwell Group, Joshua worked with award winning museums, design firms, and interaction studios in New York and San Francisco. In 2000 he was part of a team that received a presidential teaching award for their work with at-risk youth in San Francisco. Joshua received his Masters degree from the Cranbrook Academy of Art where his work focused on non-linear narrative in new media.
