Danny Meyer’s Untitled treads lightly within Marcel Breuer’s mid-century modern landmark. With a chalkboard listing daily specials and simple white-oak tables, Untitled is an uptown take on a traditional diner.
The restaurant's furnishings complement the stone-and-concrete Whitney Museum of American Art while allowing flexible use of the space. All of the furniture and fixtures, from tables and room dividers to the seating with red felt upholstery, are packable and portable. The entire restaurant can be broken down, packed up, rolled out of the space, and hidden away in just a half hour.
