The Crossroads

At the nexus of this year’s ICFF and WantedDesign Manhattan (May 21-23), please join us for the debut of The Crossroads, an exhibition spotlighting American design in its many shapes and forms. Rockwell Group partnered with editor/co-curator Pei-Ru Keh to conceive a new format to showcase products and present works by emerging and established American makers, highlighting more than a dozen designers with a diverse array of backgrounds and experiences.

The installation is divided into several spaces, including a communal area anchored by Fort Standard’s oversized striped dining table. A gallery of objects highlights the diversity in practice, origin, and method of the makers, and visitors can gather on a casual configuration of stools made by the members of Lumber Club Marfa. The installation serves as a space to both discover and reflect on the breadth of American design.

Daily 'Dialogues' Series

The Crossroads installation will be activated by lively, informal discussions about the designers' work and contexts. What issues are designers in the United States facing, learning from, and overcoming—and how does this impact their output and the industry beyond?

Led by Untapped’s editor-in-chief, Tiffany Jow, each ‘Dialogues at The Crossroads’ will peel back the layers that inform American design.
