200 Claredon
Workplace
200 Clarendon Street, previously known as the John Hancock Building (and colloquially, “The Hancock,”) is a 62-story glass office tower—the tallest in New England—with 360-degree views of Boston’s Back Bay.
The reimagined amenities floor offers a quiet counterpoint to the city below, where layered materials and sculptural forms create moments of warmth, softness, and light. A sweeping bronze mesh chandelier anchors the sky lounge, while travertine, walnut, and mirrored surfaces guide guests through a sequence of spaces, from intimate gallery corridors to reflective fitness suites. Each element is tuned to encourage stillness and connection transforming Boston's tallest tower into a place of rhythm and retreat.

Tucked into a walnut-clad corner, the library glows with the warmth of burnt orange velvet chairs, softly curbed shelves, while a sculptural chandelier floats overhead, inviting guests to linger, browse, and sink into the quiet.
The bar nestles within a sculptural grid of dark metal, creating a rhythmic enclose that plays with shadow and transparency, anchoring the space. Adjacent, a cascading chandelier of brass discs and glass orbs adds a sense of movement and glow.
The fitness center pairs warm plaster walls with soft curves and cast glass, creating distinct zones for movement, strength, and recovery. A group exercise room glows with twinkling star lights, while a wood-clad sauna offers a quiet, radiant space to unwind.
Named for American painter John Singleton Copley, the gallery corridor blends circulation with contemplation. Arched thresholds in reflective metal and sculptural lighting evoke the rhythm and intimacy of a curated passage.
