Climate Pledge Arena
Sport
Home of the NHL team Seattle Kraken and the WNBA Champion Seattle Storm, the 740,000-square-foot Climate Pledge Arena underwent an unparalleled transformation to create a brand-new entertainment venue under a historic roof originally built for the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair. Rockwell Group drew on its experience designing for performance, live events and hospitality to create a comprehensive set of amenities, each offering its own experience. Inspired by the Pacific Northwest, clubs and suites feature a distinctly regional feel with local materials and include a modern food hall, craft beer concourse, private restaurant, and two suite typologies.
From the tunnel club suites, guests can observe players walk from the locker room, creating a personal and theatrical connection with the game and the rituals of preparing to go out onto the court or ice.
Materials, such as corrugated steel and concrete, draw from Seattle’s found industrial spaces.
The Moët & Chandon Impérial Lounge frames views of the bowl through broadly arched openings, and tables offer an Opera box of four seats. The private restaurant's materials are abstracted explorations of the outdoors.
Located on the top level, the Space Needle Lounge offers views of the Seattle icon through an over-scaled skylight. The intimate club doubles as an event space and features blue ombre velvet waterfall curtains offset by brass finishes and exposed concrete.
