Directed by Lear deBessonet in honor of the musical’s late legendary composer Stephen Sondheim, the Tony Award-winning Into the Woods opened on Broadway on July 10, 2022. One of our main tasks for the set design was to accommodate the orchestra’s footprint on stage—a central element that makes the live theatrical experience unique for a Broadway revival.
