Public Work

Citymeals on Wheels delivers meals and provides vital companionship to elderly New Yorkers. Their first permanent warehouse—The Joan & Bob Tisch Emergency Meal Distribution Center—dramatically expands the organization's capacity to reach over 3,000 residents throughout the five boroughs. A longtime Citymeals supporter, Rockwell Group donated a bold graphic identity inspired by the organization's commitment to neighborhood outreach.

Our design language incorporates portraits, murals, and hand-painted signage through the lens of street art, to reflect the building's Bronx location.

Humanity and commonality

Un-retouched portraits of recipients (each approximately 23 feet tall) span the height of the building and create authentic moments for the center's visitors and passersby.

Additional life-sized images of recipients and volunteers line the building’s exterior, reinforcing the impact of the organization’s hands-on efforts.
