Moynihan Train Hall
Transportation
Rockwell Group looked to the grandeur and glamour of classic train stations for its design of Amtrak and LIRR’s Ticketed Waiting Room at Moynihan Train Hall.
Bordering the 225,000-square-foot transit hub’s soaring concourse, the space pays homage to the light-filled atrium, arched openings, and signature fixtures of the original McKim, Mead and White Pennsylvania Station across Eighth Avenue.

Wood and upholstery bring a sense of warmth and luxury to the waiting area, where commuters can settle into curved banquettes and custom, built-in benches as they eye the timetables. Freestanding high-top tables and charging outlets enable guests further flexibility and workspace while they wait.
