Natural Choreography

For our first-ever luxury vinyl tile (LVT) collection with Shaw, Natural Choreography, we wanted to create something with a distinctive point of view that breaks the mold of standard vinyl flooring. The two patterns, Shear and Cut, elevate the material with new attention to detail and technological processes.

The gridded format of Cut (an end-cut wood print) and the diagonal format of Shear (a veined marble print) are like dance step sequences on one-dimensional surfaces. Together they bring a sense of movement, transition, and flow into the collection.

Cut

End-cut wood, a uniquely expressive material with distinct concentric rings, offers a dramatic composition in multiples. For Cut, we used the motif of end-cut wood to bring a warm, organic materiality to the design, as well as a sense of geometry and grid.

Shear

The marble veining of Shear is enhanced by the inclusion of metallic elements that add a subtle shimmer and unexpected glamour to the design's tranquil fluidity.
