RPM Seafood

Chicago, IL

RPM Seafood, a multi-level restaurant overlooking Chicago’s Riverwalk, takes inspiration from traditional Italian and French seaside dining. This waterfront project also includes a private events space and Pizzeria Portofino, a Riviera-inspired casual restaurant.

RPM Seafood’s prime position on the river informed our design. A soaring opening connects two floors to create an indoor/outdoor feel.

The restaurant encompasses the double-height glass-walled lobby of a 1987 Miesian tower.

Floor-to-ceiling folding glass walls and a series of olive trees and greenery bring the outside in and help define the space.
