What if the New York Public Library had a secret club?

The mezzanine bar and restaurant at New York’s Public Theater is inspired by the idea of a vintage library. The space didn’t exist before Rockwell Group’s renovation, which created a cozy, hidden space out of a previously high-ceilinged lobby.

Guests are greeted at a hostess station made of custom cabinetry that displays books and other props. Inside, rich textures with vintage patina create a lived-in feeling.

A larger renovation carved out a new, secret-feeling space.
