The New York EDITION

New York, NY

The New York EDITION, a hotel by Ian Schrager in partnership with Marriott International, is located in the landmark Metropolitan Life Tower. While respecting and restoring much of the tower's original character and details, Rockwell Group worked with Schrager's design team to bring sophisticated, clean-lined luxury to the lobby, guest rooms, and restaurant.

A building with great bones.

The hotel is located in the 1909 Gothic-style building (also known as the Clock Tower). The architects, Napoleon LeBrun & Sons, modeled it after the Campanile in Venice, Italy. Its 41 stories look out over leafy Madison Square Park.

MILLWORK AND PLASTER CEILINGS WERE RESTORED. DOZENS OF VINTAGE CELEBRITY PORTRAITS LINE THE WALLS.

Contemporary artwork, dramatic lighting, and lush velvet seating invites vibrant conversations and leisurely meals. This is where MetLife once had its executive offices.
