We’re thrilled to announce that 1 Hotel Toronto has received this year’s Gold Key Award for Best Luxury Hotel. For the design of Canada's first mission-driven hotel, we used a variety of sustainable materials to create an urban oasis in the heart of the city that celebrates the beauty of Toronto’s natural environment.

Our material palette takes inspiration from the muted colors of the lake and the contrasting colors of the passing seasons and features reclaimed timber, native plants, board-formed concrete, and local marble. These materials then shape spaces into alcoves/pods that delineate programs and are interspersed with lush, green circulation.
