Luminaries is back for the 2016-2017 season! Designed by the LAB at Rockwell Group, this holiday ritual at Brookfield Place in Lower Manhattan allows visitors to share in the season's traditions of giving, sharing, community, and light. This year, the LAB designed three new holiday-inspired animated shows: these three-dimensional, choreographed pieces are set to pieces of classical and contemporary holiday music.
Of course, the hallmark of Luminaries is its interactivity. Visitors are invited to send wishes into the world through the act of touching one of the three “wishing stations.” Brookfield has partnered with the GRAMMY Museum to support their music education program. For every wish sent by the public, Brookfield will donate $1 up to $25,000.
Don't miss Luminaries, on view through January 29, 2017.
