The Rooftop at Pier 17—a dynamic mixed-use development by The Howard Hughes Corporation—is now open in Lower Manhattan’s Seaport District. Rockwell Group conceived the building’s rooftop as a transformable indoor-outdoor space that can be activated year-round.
For the winter season, we're transporting guests to a Nordic ski resort, with views of the stars, autumnal-toned interiors, hearths, Adirondack chairs, and an ice skating rink. R17—the rooftop’s new permanent restaurant and lounge—provides an alternate escape. Inspired by a snow chalet, R17 embraces dark and warm finishes and furniture, including two fireplaces, textured wool rugs and residential-style seating.
