Nobu Bangkok
Restaurant
Our enduring global partnership with Nobu is brought to life in its first Thai location, situated on multiple levels of Bangkok’s soaring Empire Tower.
The design is inspired by the city's singular blend of natural and urban ecologies, referencing three distinct landscapes uncovered from a vintage map of Thailand: Urban, Jungle, and River. Each of these geographical typologies shapes the spaces and programming within the hotel: the main dining room and bar are inspired by the tiered roofs and gold hues of vernacular Thai architecture, while the lounge and rooftop bar feature a darker, more jewel-toned palette and floral motifs reminiscent of a dense rainforest. Meandering outdoor terraces and sunset tones mirror the Chao Phraya River, which guests can view along with the glittering city from the rooftop’s Sky Bar.

Thai and Japanese craftsmanship accentuate the space, reflected in the pairing of hand-woven textiles and wood carvings with elements of Kintsugi and calligraphy. A swirling gold sculpture depicting the Japanese art of sumi-e ink floats across the ceiling of the main dining room—a subtle nod to the lobby installation displayed at New York’s Nobu Downtown. A range of private dining areas are inspired by Japanese sake rooms and Thai tearooms.
