Before it became The New York EDITION, the eponymous Met Life Tower once served as the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company’s headquarters. As part of the design of the 452-room hotel, Rockwell Group led an extensive restoration of the building's landmarked second floor to unveil The Clocktower, the Michelin-starred restaurant from acclaimed English chef Jason Atherton and restaurateur Stephen Starr.

Similarly, photographs of American musicians adorn the walls of the burgundy- and velvet-appointed billiard room, intended for pre-dinner gatherings.

Quintessential New York street scenes and other American icons star in the additional three dining rooms, where velvet banquettes, mahogany, and bronze-accented furniture cast an understated elegance that captures the building’s turn-of-the-century heyday.
