@ease 1345

New York, NY

As part of Fisher Brothers’ modernization of 1345 Avenue of the Americas, a 50-story office tower designed by Emery Roth & Sons and built in 1969, Rockwell Group created amenities on the building’s lower level. Influenced by Emery Roth’s glass tower designed in the International Style, we re-envisioned midcentury modern design to create a hospitality space.

A monumental, room-sized terrarium is the organizing element, with a fitness center, lounge and recreation areas, café with grab ‘n go options, and meeting rooms radiating around it. Stained oak wood wall paneling, baffled ceilings, and concrete floor slabs create a sophisticated, elevated palette for the furnishings in hues of dark green and blue with bronze, stone, and terrazzo accents.
