This fall, Catch Hospitality Group, known for its successful seafood-centric CATCH restaurants opened their first ever sister restaurant, CATCH STEAK. Located in the heart of Chelsea just steps from the High Line, the 15,000 square-foot-venue combines classic steakhouse motifs with a lighter and brighter, updated style for a more approachable experience with an indoor-outdoor, modern feel.
Rockwell Group previously partnered with Catch Hospitality Group to transform the minimalist BarMasa into CATCH Las Vegas at the city's Aria Resort & Casino. For this latest project, the team was inspired by the rich history of New York City’s Meatpacking District and its industrial past.
CATCH STEAK’s design guides visitors through a semi-enclosed outdoor courtyard of blackened metal and teak-wood criss-cross screening filled with greenery.

Once inside, at the bar, oxblood marble floors meet reclaimed wood details and textural effects.

The bar area, the moodiest space at CATCH Steak, pays homage to the classic steakhouse with black and white photographs of the Meatpacking’s heyday, while a sheet of copper metal with marquee lights wraps up the wall and onto the ceiling, creating an infinite amber glow.

Refined elegance in a lively setting.
The dining room balances a subtle color palette with bespoke details, including shimmering plaster walls, custom mirrors, fluted glass sconces, leather banquettes and a dramatic copper chandelier.
