Nobu Beijing

Beijing, China

Nobu Beijing’s theatrical and energetic design transcends tradition. Adjoining the J.W. Marriott within Beijing’s Chaoyang District, it is Nobu’s first restaurant in the People’s Republic of China.

Upon entering the space, guests’ eyes are drawn upward to a hanging sculpture comprised of 150 bronze twigs and serpentine chandeliers inspired by Chinese folk art.

The bar is comprised of a black walnut bar top with a custom-cast amber glass front.
Five custom bronze serpentine chandeliers with a laser cut cherry blossom pattern adorn the ceiling.

Abstracted natural shapes evolve from traditional Chinese forms.

Interwoven throughout the lounge, dining room, private dining rooms, and dining terrace are hand-woven abaca screens, and materials like bronze, black walnut, and amber.
